Francisco Rubio Llorente (Berlanga, 25 February 1930-Madrid, 23 January 2016), a Spanish jurist, was a Judge of the Constitutional Court from 1980 and its Vice-President (1989-1992). A professor at the Complutense University, he directed the Spanish Journal of Constitutional Law, the Centre for Political and Constitutional Studies, and was Secretary General of the Congress of Deputies and as such advised the Constitutional Committee. He was also President of the Council of State (2004-2012).
The part of his documentary collection deposited by his heirs in the Constitutional Court, by means of an agreement signed on 22 October 2018, contains documentation basically generated in the exercise of his intellectual and professional activity.
