Responsible body


 

In accordance with article 16 of Royal Decree 1112/2018 of 7 September 2018 on accessibility of public sector websites and applications for mobile devices (Spanish Official State Gazzette no. 227, of 19 September 2018), each entity shall determine "the Unit responsible for ensuring compliance with the accessibility criterions of websites and applications for mobile devices within its area of competence" (section 1).

Within the scope of the Constitutional Court, the responsibility for ensuring compliance with the accessibility criterions of its website lies with the General Secretariat, which is responsible for the services and units that make up the administration of the Court and to which correspond, in general, the functions of governance and administration, and in matters of accessibility, they shall:

  1. Promote the necessary means and procedures to guarantee adequate management and attention to issues related to accessibility (consultations, suggestions, communications, complaints and requests for information).
  2. Deal with the complaints filed.
  3. Review the assessments made in order to determine whether compliance with accessibility criterions places a "disproportionate burden" on the Court.
  4. Coordinate periodic accessibility reviews.
  5. Encourage promotion, awareness and training activities related to accessibility.
  6. Draw up annual reports on the handling of complaints and claims, monitoring compliance with accessibility criterions and monitoring promotion, awareness-raising and training.
  7. Act as a contact point with the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Function (as the body in charge of monitoring and receiving reports).
