The XIII Trilateral Conference of the Constitutional Courts of Italy, Portugal and Spain was held in Madrid from 13 to 15 October 2011. These courts meet annually, on a rotating basis, in the capitals of their different countries. On this occasion, the Constitutional Court of Spain hosted this meeting. In 2012 the meeting will be held in Lisbon.
The Italian delegation was composed of its President, H.E. Mr. Alfonso Quaranta; its Vice-President, H.E. Mr. Alfio Finocciaro; the Magistrates, H.E. Mr. Giuseppe Frigo and; Mr. Giorgio Lattanzi and the Secretary General, H.E. Mr. Giuseppe Troccoli.
The Portuguese delegation was represented by the President, H.E. Mr. Rui Moura Ramos; and by the Magistrates, H.E. Ms. Dª; Maria João Antunes and H.E. Mr. João Cura Mariano.
The delegation of the Spanish Constitutional Court was composed of the President, H.E. Mr. Pascual Sala Sánchez and the Magistrates, H.E. Mr. Javier Delgado Barrio, Ms. Elisa Pérez Vera, Mr. Ramón Rodríguez Arribas, Mr. Manuel Aragón Reyes, Mr. Pablo Pérez Tremps, Mr. Francisco José Hernando Santiago, Ms. Adela Asua Batarrita, Mr. Luis Ortega Álvarez and Mr. Francisco Pérez de los Cobos Orihuel. The General Secretary, Mr. Javier Jiménez Campo, and the Deputy General Secretary, Mr. Miguel Ángel Montañés Pardo, also participated to this event.
The Spanish paper, "Constitución y principios penales", was presented by the Magistrate of the Court, Ms. Adela Asua Batarrita.
